A Memorable Trip to Brașov

Local Charm, History, and Unexpected Flavors in Romania

Our stay in Brașov was a delightful blend of local charm, rich history, and memorable culinary experiences. We stayed in a cozy homestay right in the heart of the city. The warm hospitality of our hosts and the traditional Romanian decor made us feel instantly at home.

One of the culinary highlights was dinner at a highly recommended Argentinian steak restaurant. The juicy, perfectly cooked steaks, accompanied by excellent sides and a robust glass of wine, were outstanding. It was a delicious departure from traditional Romanian cuisine and showcased the city’s diverse dining scene.

Another fun evening was spent at a Scottish pub. With its traditional decor and relaxed atmosphere, we enjoyed a few pints and lively conversation — a refreshing and unexpected contrast to the local culture.

During the days, we explored Brașov’s beautiful historic centre. We admired the imposing Black Church, wandered through the lively Council Square, and took the cable car up Tâmpa Mountain. The panoramic views of the city and the surrounding Carpathian Mountains were absolutely breathtaking.

Evenings were spent strolling the charming streets, discovering quaint shops and cafés, and soaking in the city’s vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere.

Brașov offered the perfect mix of history, natural beauty, warm hospitality, and great food. Our time there was truly memorable, and we left with many wonderful memories of this enchanting Transylvanian city.
