Eating Our Way Through Krakow

A Culinary Journey of Global Flavors and Polish Classics

Krakow is a true feast for the senses, and our time there was defined by one delicious discovery after another. From Asian specialties to hearty Polish comfort food, the city offered an impressive range of culinary experiences.

We started with a highly recommended Chinese restaurant, where the aromatic dumplings and sizzling stir-fries were outstanding. The fresh ingredients and bold flavours instantly transported us to Asia. Next came a cozy Vietnamese spot famous for its rich, fragrant pho and perfectly crispy spring rolls — a comforting and authentic meal.

Our culinary adventure continued with a wonderful Indian restaurant. The creamy butter chicken, fragrant biryani, and warm naan were cooked to perfection and full of aromatic spices. We also indulged in traditional Polish cuisine, enjoying handmade pierogi (filled with meat, sauerkraut, or potato), grilled kielbasa, and golden potato pancakes (placki ziemniaczane) served with sour cream.

Another favourite was the light and versatile Polish pancakes (naleśniki), which we enjoyed both sweet (with fruit preserves) and savoury. The city’s cafés were equally delightful, serving rich espressos, velvety lattes, and tempting pastries — perfect spots to pause and watch the world go by.

Our time in Krakow was a delicious blend of global flavours and authentic Polish traditions. From fragrant Asian dishes to hearty local classics, every meal added to the magic of this beautiful city. Krakow’s food scene truly captured our hearts.
